For all the Liverpool fans!

An order from Singyi who wanted to order Liverpool theme cupcakes. She specifically wanted the cupcakes with the Liverpool logo and this poses a problem for me as it will be hard for me to mold out a Liverpool logo (not that skillful yet). So I remembered that the last time I went to JB to buy the icing images, I did spot some soccer clubs logos as well. Bearing that in mind, we went into JB in search for the logo and also enjoyed a day trip there as well with nice massage and yummy seafood dinner. LOL. Back to business, so with the logos, the Liverpool cupcakes are complete.

Singyi provided me with the soccer players and their jersey number as well as I really have no idea who is in the team (I'm not a soccer fan). Hope Zahid likes the cupcakes when he received it! Happy Birthday!

Safari animals cupcakes...

Another order from Mrs Tay where she previously ordered a basketball cake for her daughter and I did not do it very well. Thanks for giving me another chance! Anyway, this time round she wanted to order cupcakes for her son Taddeo's 5th birthday celebration in school. She said that her son loves big cats, which means tiger and lions and so I suggested a safari theme cupcakes with all the other animals as well. So here comes the safari animals!

Can you see the Tiger, Lion, Zebra, Monkey, Elephant and Hippo?

She said that the cupcakes are well received by the children in school and they loved the animals! Thanks for the feedback and Happy 5th Birthday Taddeo!

Blue Dinosaur cake...

This is an order from Sarina, a friend of my Da Jie where she is among the clique who went for the picnic gathering for Joanna's birthday. Check out Joanna's birthday cake below.

So she wanted to order a really simple and small cake for her son Declan who is turning 3 this year. She said that her son is really into dinosaur recently and specified that he wanted a blue dinosaur and therefore here is the cake!

Happy Birthday Declan!

Garden theme mini cupcakes...

I have been tasked by my boss to organise all the monthly birthday celebrations in the office and that will mean I have to get the cakes. We have been getting cakes from nearby cake shops around our office and is running out of ideas and thus my colleagues suggested that I can prepare some mini cupcakes instead for the May birthday babies (also due to the fact that we have a tight budget). As I do not know what does the birthday babies like, I came up with a garden theme. It's really fun working on mini cupcakes and the end result looks really cute with the ladybugs, bees and caterpillars.

The ladies in the office loves the cupcakes and all are unwilling to eat up the "bugs". LOL. Happy birthday May babies!

Another 2D Peppa pig cake...

As mentioned in previous post, had a few orders for peppa pig cake after my first 2D peppa pig cake. So this time round, Dawn wanted to order a 2D peppa pig cake for her daughter Klara's 5th birthday. So I did the same design as the previous cake with some slight alterations and customizations. Here it goes.

Hope Klara likes the Peppa pig cake!

Mother's Day cupcakes!

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers in the world!

Every mother's day, we will celebrate with my maternal side grandmother and relatives and so for this year, I decided to make some cupcakes for the aunties and mothers there. And what's mother's day without a flower for the mother. But although carnation is the flower for mothers, I made roses instead (reason being I failed at making carnation and is better at roses). LOL. I really like how the roses turn out beautifully on the cupcakes. But it's really a lot more effort to make flowers (thus you will realise that my creations seldom have flowers involved, pardon my laziness). Anyway, still glad that I made them and my effort pays off! Here's the final product!

Hope all the mothers had a wonderful day!

3D Peppa pig cake...

Ever since I did the 2D peppa pig cake order from Cherie, I had quite a few enquiries on the ordering of peppa pig cake! I did not know that it is so popular right now among the kids although I did know that my niece likes it too. LOL. Check out the 2D peppa pig cake below if you have not.

So Janice saw the 2D peppa pig cake but she wants to order a 3D cake instead. So here's the 3D cake!

Hope Charlene had a Happy 3rd Birthday!

For Da Jie's pretty girl friend...

Been busy juggling with work and orders and life (being lazy as well) and it's the end of May already! So I have to stop procrastinating and here I am updating the blog on all the May's orders!

So my Da Jie wanted a cake last minute for her picnic gathering with her friends where it's one of the pretty girls, Joanna's birthday. They have known each other for very long and have gone through different life stages together, now all having their own happy family. Having seen her a few times as well, I feel that she gives off the "I am the Queen" aura and is really a pretty and nice lady. So I had the idea of a pretty lady sitting on the top of a cushion chair with all her branded bags and cosmetics around her, like the shopping queen. LOL. So here's the cake!

Hope they had a wonderful picnic party! Happy Birthday Joanna!

Lego cake and cupcakes...

Finally an order for lego! My nephew Wayne is really crazy over lego and I do play with him sometimes and it's really fun. But this cake is not for him ( maybe after this he will request for a lego cake for his birthday this year, LOL!)

So Rachel wanted to order a lego cake for her son Jordan's 5th birthday celebration in school. Her son is crazy over lego as well and he specifically wanted to have a lego birthday party in school. So here's the lego cake and cupcakes.

I spent quite some time to build up the lego at the side of the cake. I first covered up the whole cake in white fondant and then cut off a square piece at the side. After which, I started making the "lego" pieces and fixed it on the side to cover the cake up. But it's fun fixing the "lego" up. LOL.

Check out Jordan's birthday party in school!

Rachel told me that the boy loves the cake and his classmates thought that the cake is really built from lego! LOL! Hope Jordan enjoyed his birthday party!

Graduation cake...

This is not really a graduation cake as they have graduated 10 years ago. LOL. My sis gave me the task of coming up with a cake for she and her university friends who have known each other for 10 years and they are having a gathering. So I started racking my brains on what design to do to show their 10 years of friendship since university. Then I came across some mortar board cake online and thought that it will be apt to use on this cake since they know each other from university and tadah the cake is done!

Class of 2004. Guess their age! LOL.
I was contemplating on how to make the mortar board, to use cardboard or to use solely gumpaste and fondant. However, learning from past experience, I decided to use cardboard which is lighter. So I cut out a square cardboard, then wrapped it up in foil and then fondant and my mortar board is done! This is a real simple and fast cake!

Check out their gathering below:

Cheers to their 10 years of friendship!

Peppa pig cake...

An order from Cherie for her daughter Candice who loves Peppa pig. And lucky for me, my niece loves to watch the videos of Peppa pig as well so I actually do know how the pig looks like (finally do not need the help of google, LOL). So it's a simple 2D cake for the birthday girl.

Happy pig family!
Happy 4th Birthday Candice! Hope you like it!

Carebear and Smurfs cupcakes...

This is another order from Macey who has previously ordered christmas cupcakes for her colleagues. Check it out below if you have not:

http://jembakes.blogspot.sg/2014/01/christmas-cupcakes.html

This time round she wanted to order the cupcakes as a farewell gift for her colleagues as she is leaving the company and she specifically wanted rainbow, carebear and smurfs cupcakes individually packed for her colleagues. So check out the cupcakes below.

I bought the individual boxes and packed them up individually and they look good as a gift.

Hope her colleagues like the cupcakes and wish Macey all the best!
