Pororo and friends cake...

An order from Angie for a Pororo and friends cake for her daughter's 3rd birthday! At first I was thinking of getting the toppers for the cake however Pororo cake toppers are quite hard to find and due to the time constraint it may be too late for me to order them online. Therefore, I decided to take up the challenge and mold the characters by fondant. In the end the characters turned out really well! Quite good for my 1st attempt at Pororo and friends. LOL.

Angie said her daughter loves the cake! Glad that they like it! I'm more prepared for greater challenges ahead in molding fondant characters! Happy birthday Lovelle!

Pencil and paper cupcakes...

An order from Christina again who previously ordered snowboarding cupcakes. Check out the cupcakes below:

So this time round she wanted to order colour pencil cupcakes with a paper on it which writes Marco. I thought that Marco must be a teacher but to my amazement it was actually a company name and the company manufactures pencil and that explains the pencil and paper. LOL.

Hope she likes the cupcakes!

Stitch cake...

An order from my bf's friend Patrick for his son's 1st year birthday party! He wanted a stitch cake for his son and specifically wanted the stitch to carry a present. So I crafted the 2D stitch and it turns out quite well. This is a really big 14" square cake.

Check out the cake and the birthday party below.

Happy 1st birthday Matthias!
The cute birthday boy!
This is the first party that I went where the cake was made by me. A little bit weird to be there to witness the people eating the cake I made. I was late for the party and by the time I reached the cake was already 3 quarter gone! First time I see that the cake is ate finished at a party, and this cake is good for 50-60 people! Glad that it was well received and that they like the cake. Hope Matthias grow up healthy and smart!

Surprise birthday cake for my Da Jie!

This is an order from Joanna, my sis's friend, who wanted a birthday cake to surprise my sis during their cny gathering. She wanted a family theme cake with figurines of her whole family of 4 on it since my sis is a very family person.

This is quite a easy cake for me since I know them personally thus I am able to do up their characteristics a bit. LOL. As my sis loves to go on picnics with the family, the cake is made with a family picnic theme. I had Wayne reading a book as he loves to read, Ulyss holding a present for mummy, a cake in front of my sis, and bro-in-law and sis holding hands. I also had the girls wearing the same colour and the guys wearing the same colour as my sis loves to dress themselves like that. LOL.  And of course, what's a picnic without a picnic mat and a basket!

Happy birthday my dearest Da Jie! Hope you like the cake!

Minion cake and cupcakes set for 21st birthday!

Finally an order for 21st birthday and this is from Grace. As I have mentioned before, I am always getting orders for 1st birthday or birthday cakes for kids and seldom have any adult cake orders. But then again, making cakes for kids is really fun with all those cute cartoon characters and knowing that the kids will enjoy their birthday party with a cake they like. Anyway back to this order, Grace wanted a minion cake and cupcakes set for her 21st birthday party. Minions again! LOL.

Really like how the words turn out nicely on the cupcakes and the whole set is very complete. Hope Grace had a blessed 21st birthday!

Elephant cake...

An order from my Da Jie for her friend Diana whose son Dylan is turning 2. He has a soft toy elephant named ellie which he loves and thus his mother wanted an elephant cake for his birthday.

A simple and nice cake with the elephant as the main character. Heard from Diana that Dylan loves the cake. Happy birthday Dylan!

Princess Ulyss turns 3!

Time flies and it's really scary how kids can grow up so fast ( me getting old as well). 1 year ago, Ulyss was still a toddler with not much vocab and now she can express herself very well with the vocab she has and has grown up to be a sweet and active little girl (prettier with longer hair as well). Check out her birthday last year below.

http://jembakes.blogspot.sg/2014/02/ulyss-turns-2.html

And she is growing up like all little girls, in love with princesses, hello kitty and anything girly. So for her birthday this year, my da jie wanted a celebration for her in school as well as at home. And the little girl requested for Princess Sofia cupcakes (she even chose her own icing image designs).

The images Ulyss chose.
Look at how happy the little girl is!

Next up is her birthday celebration on the actual day! My er jie and I chanced upon a very princessy playhouse at UE square called The Tiara Society. They have a carriage inside which straight away caught my eyes and they have all the princess dresses for the kids to role play in. So we decided to bring our little princess there on her birthday (more so to satisfy our own craving as we pay for the kids and adults go in for free). And the birthday girl had to change into different princess dresses to satisfy our wishes to be the princess that we like. LOL.

Me and Princess Belle!
Miss universe wannabe!
Us with Princess Aurora!
The "Frozen" sisters!
Us with Princess Sofia!
Us with Mulan!
Er jie and her Princess Jasmine!
Da jie with her Snow White!
Our little princess!

Princess Ariel!
Princess Ulyss is waiting for her prince!
Princess Sofia!
Princess Elsa!
We had a lot of fun changing her into different dresses and it is really a very girly and nice place. Not to mention that there was no other people there at that time and it seems like we have booked the whole place for her. LOL. They also allow people to book the place for birthday parties and I think it will be really fun for the kids. Too bad I'm too old for all these.

After a fun-filled day out, we had her birthday celebration at home along with my Da jie's other friends who had kids whose birthday is in the month of Feb as well. Therefore they had a small party for the kids to play together and celebrate their birthdays together. So there is 3 kids celebrating their birthdays together, Ulyss, Josiah and Dylan. Da Jie suggested the cupcakes to be designed according to the favourite character that each kid likes. Ulyss loves hellokitty, Josiah likes dinosaur and Dylan likes elephant as he has a soft toy elephant named Ellie.

So here are the cupcakes.

Josiah, Ulyss, Dylan

Happy birthday my dear gal!

So the little princess had an eventful birthday this year. Xiao yi hope that you will continue to grow up healthy and lively! We all love you! Happy birthday Ulyss!
